Stone Grounding
Stone represents steadiness and resilience. In therapy, grounding can mean slowing down, finding support, and recognising the strengths you already bring. It is a place to begin when life feels uncertain.
About Stoneglass · Virtual across Ontario
A place to bring what feels difficult, make sense of your experience, and consider what comes next.
The meaning behind our name
Grounding creates space for reflection, and reflection can open possibilities for change. These ideas shape how we think about therapy, rather than a set of stages you need to follow.

Glass represents clarity and vulnerability. Reflection gives us space to notice patterns, understand what has shaped us, and consider another perspective. There is room for honesty without needing to have everything figured out.
Water represents movement and change. A stone creates ripples beyond the place it first touches the surface. In a similar way, a conversation or a new understanding may carry into daily choices, relationships, and how we respond to ourselves.
What this means for your care
You do not need a polished explanation for how you feel. We begin by listening to what has been difficult, what matters to you, and what you hope might be different.
Therapy is a collaborative relationship. There is space to ask questions, discuss the approach, and revisit the pace and direction of the work as your needs become clearer.
Our therapists draw on different approaches and bring their own experience to the work. Exploring fit is part of beginning, including which therapist and kind of support feel appropriate for you.

The people behind Stoneglass
Stoneglass was co-founded by Shannon Gagnon, a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist, and Jessica Maronski, a Registered Psychotherapist.
Each brings her own background and approach. Their profiles offer a place to learn who they support, how they work, and what a first conversation might look like.

You do not need to choose a service on your own. A brief consultation gives us space to hear what brings you here and help you consider where to begin.
