Space for something different

More room to listen.
More ways to connect.

A shared moment, a gentler conversation, or time to catch your breath. We can explore what connection looks like for your family, in the life you actually have.

  • A family spending time together on a beach at sunset
    Time to be together.
  • A woman resting on a linen sofa in soft afternoon light
    Room for your needs, too.
  • A mother and children together on a beach at sunset
    Connection in ordinary moments.

Understanding family & parenting challenges

You care deeply.
It can still feel difficult.

You may be repeating the same arguments, worrying about your child, or feeling pulled between everyone’s needs and your own.

Parenting and family relationships change as children grow, roles shift, and new pressures arise. Different expectations can leave people feeling unheard, even when they want to understand each other.

Support can begin with a parent or caregiver’s experience. It does not require one person to be identified as the problem, or every family member to be ready at the same time.

Together, we can look at the relationships and circumstances around the difficulty, with space for different perspectives.

Family & Parenting Challenges FAQ

A little more clarity
before you begin.

A few answers to help you consider the next step, at your own pace.

Can I begin without the rest of my family?

You can reach out on your own. A consultation can help clarify whether individual support, parent-focused conversations, or sessions involving family members would be an appropriate starting point.

Is this the same as family therapy?

Family and parenting challenges describe what may bring you here. Family therapy is one possible format for working on those concerns. We can discuss who would participate and which service fits your needs.

Can you support parents of children and teens?

Shannon’s work includes children, parents, and family systems. Jessica works with teens aged 15 and older and adults. A consultation can help identify an appropriate therapist and format for your family.

Will my child need to attend?

That depends on the goals and agreed format. We will discuss participation, consent, and privacy before beginning, including how caregivers may be involved when a young person receives support.

What if family members disagree about therapy?

Different levels of readiness are common. You can ask about your own options without committing anyone else to attend. Participation and goals can be discussed with the therapist.
